Events Overview

Rover motorcar collectors and enthusiasts are set to convene at RoveAmerica 2020, THE LARGEST NORTH AMERICAN GATHERING of theclassic British Rover Saloon cars. RA2019 will take place June 11th through June 14th, 2020 in Fitchburg, Ma at 342 Broad street
Thursday, 11th June 2020:
RoveAmerica starts with a Welcome reception beginning at 5:00 p.m. at RA headquarters 342 Broad Street Fitchburg, MA.
We will celebrate opening ceremonies to set the event on the right path for the weekend and have a few surprises in store for you.
This is a great chance to begin the weekend with old friends and a chance to meet new ones. There will be a sneak peek at this year’s projects in the RA garage.
Welcome reception & party at the Broad Street Mill location, 342 Broad Street Fitchburg, Mass.
Friday, 12th June 2020:
The gathering on Friday begins at 9:00 am at Broad Street Mill, for coffee and pastries at RA headquarters to begin our day with an informal line up of cars and to welcome those just arriving.
After lunch at 12:30 pm depart for a tour to the American Heritage Museum located at the Collings Foundation in Hudson MA. From 1:30 – 4:30 we explore the Littlefield collection of military vehicles and artifacts and possibly the automobile and aircraft exhibit as well, if time permits. At 4:30 we will depart for Kimball Farm for “Cruise Night” and have dinner and ice cream as well as enjoy the wide range of classic cars along with our Rover’s (weather permitting)
9:00 Meet at Broad Street Mill (aka. the Rovertorium)
12:00 Light lunch at Broad Street Mill
12:30 Depart for Collings Foundation
1:30 Arrive at Collings
4:30 Depart for Kimball Farm
5:00 See a variety of classic cars and enjoy dinner and ice cream
7:00 Depart for Broad Street or Hotel
Saturday, June 13th, 2020:
RA2020 continues at 9:00 am with line-up of cars and a review of collectors’ motorcars and photographs, along with Rover owner interviews back at RA headquarters. We are also hoping for friends from several car clubs in the area to join us as well. At 1:30 pm, we depart for a tour to Red Apple Farm in Phillipston, MA. Red Apple Farm is famous for their gift shop, American sweet cider and fresh cider donuts. For those not driving, the Brew Barn in downtown Fitchburg, may be open for sampling of a locally brewed beer. We return to the Rovertorium at 4:00 pm. At 6:00 pm everyone is welcome to join us for a Wine and Cheese party in the Rovertorium show room. At 7:00 pm or so we will enjoy a buffet dinner and a presentation.
9:00 am to 1:00 pm – at Broad St. mill: See what’s new with each other’s cars and projects, Rover garage time, and see some other interesting cars if they stop by
12:00 pm Lunch at the Rovertorium
1:30 pm Depart on 19-mile tour to Red Apple Farm in Phillipston, MA.
4:00 pm Return to Rovertorium/Hotel
6:00 pm Wine and Cheese party
7:00 pm to 10 pm Buffet dinner and presentation and awards ceremony
Sunday, 14th June 2020:
We begin the day at 9:00 am when we depart from Broad Street Mill in a rover caravan to tour New England back roads to historic Massachusetts sites and museum. We will conclude RA20 with our arrival back in at the Mill sometime in the afternoon.
The 14th Annual RoveAmerica 20 is open to all who appreciate classic Rover and British motorcars and is held rain or shine. You do not need to own or bring a Rover car you just need to have the enthusiasm and appreciate a bygone era.
Friday’s dinner, Saturday’s Lunch and Sunday’s Lunch are self-pay.
