MEDFIELD on the CHARLES ANTIQUE, CLASSIC & CUSTOM AUTO SHOW is Sunday June 24, 2018.
FEATURE VEHICLES for this year will be Makes & Models built for the 1958 and 1968 model years.
ADDEDED SEVERAL CATEGORIES to our already large class list. Please check show flier and class list.
Dee Jay Doc will be playing the tunes and providing information as our MC for the Show . He is the voice of many a car show and his lengthy career speaks for itself. He is considered one of the best. We Thank Doc very much for anchoring our show year after year.
33 CLASSES and over 110TROPHIES up for grabs going to the best in their respective classes. In the past several years the judging has been difficult. 1st, 2nd and 3rd are usually divided by 1 to 2 points. There is a new judging format this year with stricter guidelines. The show field is open to all “show cars”, but you don’t need to be judged if that is your preference. The show is meant to have fun and enjoy the day.
CALIBER OF SHOW VEHICLES IS AMAZING.This is a show for the hobbyist. The public loves to stroll through the show fields and admire all the hard work put into keeping these antiques and classics in pristine condition. When a father and son look at a Custom or fully chromed out Street Rod, they know the hours and effort put into the building of that one of a kind auto. We are fortunate to be able to relive our past through chrome and sheet metal. This event is our own “American Graffiti” or a recanting of our “Happy Days”. Wondering what was in James Dean’s mind, did we really live “Grease”, was The Beach Boys “Little Deuce Coupe” LP in all our houses? Car Shows let the minds go back in time, a really good time.
For the younger crowd, you provide them with a memory and hopefully an inspiration to keep this hobby going long into the future. You will see a Delorean there but it will remain in 2017. You will walk around it and remember the movie Back to the Future. Elvis. James Dean or Marilyn Monroe’s name will pop up as well as Betty Boop. Rt. 66 or the birth of the first American sports car will be echoed in conversations. Corvette Hill will be bursting at the seams. NCRS and the contingent of Corvette enthusiasts will fill the hilltop and surrounding areas hopefully with over two hundred “Vettes”.
