April 21 – Ford Model A’s
Beginning in 2018, Klingberg Family Centers will expand to five 3-hour events, the Klingberg Vintage Motorcar Series, tripling the total show time and giving car owners, visitors, and sponsors five days to enjoy unique automobiles. Each event will be held on a Saturday morning from 9am to noon and will continue to have the Traditional Car Show with a 1979 cut-off year, Concours area and a new area for Special Feature Automobiles and bring awareness to issues facing children and families. We are pleased to welcome Wayne Carini and his daughter Lindsay back as Grand Marshals of the 2018 Klingberg Vintage Motorcar Series. Wayne spent his childhood restoring antique cars and attending shows alongside his father and is now the star of Chasing Classic Cars on Velocity. Like her dad, Lindsay is also a collector of vintage automobiles.
The Ford Model A was a huge success, like its predecessor, the Model T. Over 4.8 million were made in a wide variety of body styles from 1927 until 1932. Come and enjoy the Tudors to the town cars, the sport coupes to the station wagons of this iconic automobile that was so significant in early American automotive history. Along with the Connecticut Model A Restorers’ Club, we will be honoring Bob Carini, who was one of their charter members.
